Daily King's in Jeongja Has Great Burgers.

The first post here has got to be about food.  One of the hardest parts about being a Western Expat is missing little things like cheeseburgers.  Well, when the craving hits you and McDonald’s in Sunae and Burger King in Seohyun just won’t cut it, head over to Daily King’s in Jeongja.  The cheeseburger set comes with a big, juicy patty, big tomato, lettuce and cheese on a toasted bun.  The helping of fries is generous and they always fresh.  Don’t forget the Coke or um, Zero Coke.  This will set you back about 16,000 Won.  But remember, no tip.

The vibe is very  upscale 50’s diner with lots of curved glass, fiberglass seats and embossed sheet metal.  Before you tear into your burger they’ll bring their fresh raisin bread.  Its a small portion, but very good quality.  I’ve never walked away hungry from this place.

Their other offerings, like their Philly Cheese Steak, Meatball Hero and Club Sandwich are also great.  Pasta and Salads too.  Premium prices, but worth it when you have to have it.

Hey guys…I am in Korea now and am pretty familiar with Bundang. But, I am trying to move there in March 2010 and am having a hard time finding decent affordable housing. Any tips?

Thanks

That looks tasty, but 16,000 won? Maybe I should raise a cow.

I agree. Its steep…but its a great quality burger in a very pleasant atmosphere. In the States, a restaurant burger will set you back $10 + tax and tip…so remember that 16,000 Won is more like $14.50.

looking forward to trying this out! thanks for the info and your insights! we just moved here last week with 3 kids 3 & under. it’s been quite a challenge trying to find kid-friendly places (stroller-accessible) with kid-friendly foods while we wait for our stuff to arrive from the states. the 2 older ones are looking forward to when i can cook them some mac & cheese again. :) we live at time bridge, so we’re just a few blocks from here. will definitely check this place out.
